We’ve recently fallen in love with all kinds of Chex Party Mix recipes since our daughter was cured of her peanut allergies. Finding mixtures, concoctions and creations of all kinds has been a lot of fun!
No mind you, we don’t indulge often because it is quite sweet – but we try a new kind each time. Although this one doesn’t have any nut or peanut butters in it, it’s a great option for a Chex Muddy Buddies that would be fun to try.
And that brings me to a fun and seasonal recipe for pumpkin and candy corn muddy buddies.
This mixture is SO GOOD, so festive and so easy.
It’s also a nice concoction to make to have on the table for Thanksgiving between the eats as a snacking treat!
Here’s the ingredients for the Pumpkin and Candy Corn Muddy Buddies:
- 4 C any Chex cereal
- 1 C Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers
- 1 TBSP pumpkin pie spice
- 1 C powdered sugar
- 1 bag candy corn
- 1 bag candy pumpkins
- 1 bag of M&M’s (fall colors if you can find them)
Instructions for Pumpkin and Candy Corn Muddy Buddies:
- Pour the Chex cereal into a large Ziploc bag.
- Set aside.
- Using a double boiler, add the white chocolate.
- Stir and add the pumpkin pie seasoning while the chocolate is melting, stir to mix throughout the melted
- Pour the melted chocolate into the bagged Chex mix, shaking the bag to cover all of the cereal pieces.
- Next, add the powdered sugar, shake well.
- Empty the bag of Chex mix into a large bowl. And the candy and toss together.
