We’ve recently been introduced to a new site that rewards you for your online activity called Qmee. In fact, it’s a site that pays you to do the things you are probably already doing online right now anyway.
Sound familiar? That’s because it can be compared a lot to Swagbucks. Which it sounds the same, but it is not.
We’ve talked about Swagbucks multiple times. I love swagbucks and so you can bet that I am going to enjoy using Qmee as well.
How can I use both if they are similar? It is true that they have similarities, but they are definitely not the same.
You see, Qmee rewards you for searching for stuff (not just anything) and then if you use the links that popup in your left sidebar, and you click and shop, you get rewarded in actual cash (you don’t even have to buy the item).
What I like about Qmee OVER Swagbucks is that I see a cold hard cash value attached to my searches, whereas with Swagbucks I earn “virtual cash” that I can then redeem for rewards (gift cards mostly). But with Swagbucks the actual dollar amount I earn is a little abstract, so the value of my searches is a little hard to measure in terms of success. I know that Swagbucks is successful and I have used it for many years, but I REALLY like being able to see the actual value I am earning.
But there’s an extra level with Qmee too, not only will you get rewarded for searching on Google and clicking on the results that popup from Qmee on the sidebar, you will receive the latest coupon discounts too.
Qmee is basically doing a second search on top of your initial search to find the product AND a discount. It saves you time because you don’t have to do a separate coupon search, but it’s all-in-one spot.
That is awesome! Getting rewarded for searching and shopping with the Qmee search function, while saving money with the latest and best coupons for that merchant.
Let me show you some examples.
I did three searches – it looks like not EVERY search will generate a cash value, but perhaps at least half of your “stuff” searches. For example, you will not see the Qmee sidebar pop-up or return results on a search like “why is the sky blue” type of searches. The options on the sidebar will only pop-up when you search for items you are looking to buy.
My first search example was for waterproof gloves. Google returned my results with Qmee providing options on the sidebar with coupon codes!
My second search was for an Elsa Costume. Again, Google returned results, but so did Qmee, this time with a cash reward for clicking on the Target link, but also showing many other places to buy with coupon codes.
I clicked on the target link regardless of where I wanted to get it. It took me 20 seconds or less and I got paid $0.12 for doing so.
My third search was for running shoes. And again, I received my Google results, but also my Qmee results with stores that had running shoes and coupon codes attached, along with two places to click and get my cash reward.
I clicked on the highest value first to “bank” the .07:
Then I hit the backspace key and clicked on the second option for the .06:
As you can see, in 3 searches and less than 2 minutes, I earned .25.
This was my first experience using Qmee. It is very slick and I am looking forward to discovering all of the ways I can earn rewards and “redeem” my time shopping online. I will be making full use of it and recommend you to give it a shot, especially during the most popular shopping season where you may end up with quite a few rewards just for searching for the best prices on gifts!
Finally, I was curious about the cashout options. It is via PayPal or gift cards.
It was very easy to link my PayPal to my Qmee account. I can cash out even a small amount like $0.25 instantly. It appears there is no minimum to cash out!
I didn’t cash out and hoping to build a little more, just testing it for our readers. 🙂
How to use Qmee:
- Head to the Qmee site HERE to see even more about the site and to get started.
- The only way that it works is by add the browser extension.
This is necessary so that Qmee can automatically return a search at the same time as your Google search so that it can actually give you relevant results, but most importantly, the rewards and coupon/discount codes for the items you are looking to buy.
It is very easy to add the extension. Just click on the button and add it in a few seconds!
Then after installing, just head to Google, perform your normal searches and Qmee will popup on the side if the search is relevant to something they can reward you with!
It’s really as Simple.As.That.
What do you think? Have you tried Qmee before?
I am looking forward to giving you future updates on my progress, just as I have done with Swagbucks, but in the meantime, get your extension and start getting rewarded with CASH too!
Qmee is also available to residents in the U.S. and U.K.! Everyone in these two countries can claim Qmee rewards!
