Time for another Pinterest Find!
This one is a practical repurposing from an item that most of us have on hand! Tin cans!
This example uses the giant ones that coffee comes in, but you can use the same concept on any size can. We even have a handful of the big #10 cans (as they call it) that hold bulk foods that you buy super duper large foods in (like Costco, Sam’s Club type cans).
Any of them would work!
Raquel from Organized Island made this version. She used contact paper and chalkboard labels, which comes in many designs and so this gives you lots of options! Contact paper sticks well to tin cans. It can wipe off, but not be immersed in water.
Also, some tin cans have the plastic lids (like coffee cans) and so you can have so many more storage options like poke a hole and thread plastic bags through it, store food (since it has a lid), etc.
In the end, it could look like a fancy and expensive storage container (seriously…. have you checked the price on design storage containers? Sheesh!).
I have been saving all of my #10 cans and just using them for school supply storage, but I have a lot more ideas 🙂
Head to the Organized Island HERE for the full instructions.
What do you think of this idea? Have you ever tried this or will you try it?
