….. meaning I didn’t stick to our planned menu this week! We have had a tough week of sticking to our menu! Our original plan was to go out for dinner as a family on Tuesday night. Well sickness struck the house and we were home bound. So the modification was to go out on Saturday instead and move everything up by a day, which was going fine ……..
Then, knowing that Alex was going to be gone for dinner tonight, I planned to do things as normal. But, mom is sick too and with just me and the kids for dinner – and not super motivated to make dinner. So I called Alex and said “can I just order pizza to be delivered tonight?” Out of sympathy for how sick I was feeling, “sure, just make sure there is enough left for me (mind you, this would be dinner #2 for him tonight)!” Ha!
So, I was rummaging through my deals and coupons, when I remembered ……. (imagine a bubble popping up next to my head with the picture of Chocolate flowing lava) Ahhh! The FREE Chocolate Lava Cake code for Dominos that I emailed to myself! Yay FREE chocolate is just what the doctor ordered!
Combined with Dominos on-line specials we got 2 pizzas, Chicken Kickers and Chocolate Lava Cake for $17!!! Not too bad for delivered no-cook, no -stress dinner for 5, second dinner for 1 and maybe lunch leftovers for a few of us!
PLUS, I finally got to try that cake that they advertise everywhere! It was super yummy!
Oh, and Alex has 1 and 1/3 pizzas, half the chicken and one of those cute little cakes for his second dinner when he gets home
