Note from The Thrifty Couple: Our contributor Kiz found this deal a few week’s ago and she posted to tell you all about it then. Well she got one and wanted to try it out on her cat and you can read her experience below! Thanks Kiz for sharing with all of us!
All I can say is, “HOW DID I LIVE WITHOUT ONE OF THESE FOR SO LONG?!?” This is, seriously, the best thing since sliced bread! I used it on my long-haired Manx, Molly, and SHE LOVED IT! She actually rolled over and stretched out so I could comb her MORE! I used this on my short hair Heeler, Pete. HE LOVED IT! And when we were done, he looked like he had just come from the groomers. His coat was shiney and bright white!
As for the amount of hair we got off of our pets. . .CAN YOU SAY TWO (2) GROCERY SACKS FULL! No joke! And it was so easy. My 9 year old took over so I could take some pictures!
These things run about $50! I got mine for less than $15.00. . . Yes, LESS than $15! And as a lover of my pets, and a mom who wants to teach my kids responsibility, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FURMINATOR!

Mine love it too as long as I don’t press too hard. It does take off like a whole other cat’s worth in hair doesn’t it? 🙂 I read some people had problems creating bald spots or it hurting their pet, but my guess is that they were brushing too hard. I got mine a couple of years ago on sale for about $20, and think it is well worth any investment in it!

I’ve been a pet groomer for five years and this really is a great tool, just be careful with it! If you go over the same spot too many times you can absolutely brush them bald (especially cats) or make their skin raw. Just keep checking the skin as you brush to make sure it isn’t irritating it. I use it on my German Shepherd mix and my cats on a regular basis. It’s especially great for labs and other short hair, double-coated dogs.

I use it on my horse also.
