White Cloud GreenEarth Paper Towels Really Means Great Rip-Ability and Suck-Up-Ability

A few weeks ago we shared with you a really cheap store-brand paper towel deal at a local drugstore.  First, it was very cheap – almost free.  But the very first time I used it Cassie and I had a good laugh.  Every time I tried to rip off a sheet, it tore on the paper towel and remained untouched at the perforation – the times it would start to rip at the perforation it would tear through the sheet halfway through!  It became a game at dinnertime (mock us if you will – but it was a great form of family entertainment!) – holding the roll in different ways, tearing at multiple angles – with the end result of everything but satisfaction of a quality product.

You could say we were a little skeptical a few days later when we received White Cloud GreenEarth to try and share with you our thoughts.  We weren’t sure what to expect – I mean, our view was a bit tainted by the amazingly frustrating experience a few nights before.  I brought them in, opened them up and sarcastically said to Cassie: “Watch this!”  It tore right where it should have.  I was sure it was a mistake so I tried again.  Same thing.  Unfortunately, there would be no game at the kitchen table that night.

We have been pretty impressed not only at the rip-ability (I guess you could refer to its strength – but why would we do that?!) but also at its suck-up-ability (some would refer to this as ultra-absorbent) as we have truly cleaned up some big messes mainly due to our 2-year-old.  Plus we really love the Choose-A-Size sheets which means we can tear off a smaller sheet when the mess isn’t quite as big – though, again with our 2-year-old we didn’t get that chance very often!  🙂

One thing you probably noticed from the name is that its made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper (office paper from what we understand) which means we’re being good stewards of the environment.  I didn’t want to say this originally as we have experienced some of those “recycled products” that just don’t meet our expectations.  Well, we are very surprised and pleased to state that White Cloud GreenEarth doesn’t fit the bill of the normal recycled product – so we can use it confidently while knowing we’re being good stewards of what we have been given!
