The problem is that fresh spinach shrinks so small that it literally takes 3-4 fresh bunches to meet our family’s needs, so we discovered that in the frozen veggie section at Target, they have the bags of frozen spinach for $1.09 everyday. Even at the everyday price, this has equaled huge savings for our family as it is pre-cooked/shrunk to equal those 3-4 fresh bunches.
So there’s our little thrifty tip, but even better is that there is a coupon on the Target site today for $1.00/4 veggies – which would include the spinach. So we are happy to be getting an even better deal!
