We recently had the opportunity to try the Old El Paso Taco seasoning mix in our own creation. Honestly, we have taco night around once a week here! It is so easy to do. We do mix it up a little with the different side dishes and ways to use the taco meat. In addition, we use the taco seasoning pouches for a kid friendly, super easy Spanish Rice. We love salads and taco salads and so that is what we made for our most recent taco night!
The kids wanted to have a picnic outside, and it was a nice October day, so what a better way to enjoy one of the last nice days of the year!
For our taco salads, we just crush tortilla chips first, then a layer of lettuce, then meat, cheese and toppings that we each enjoy! We all loved the taste of the taco meat with the Old El Paso seasoning. The salads were wiped out quick!

When I was prego with my second child I CRAVED tacos and hence began our taco lunches!! We like a lil ground turkey seasoned with limes (instead of lemon pepper) then we use the taco seasonings. Chop up some lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream and you have some lip smackin” perfection!!! Quick and delicious!! And now since you can get vegetables with WIC cheap!! Yay!!
