We recently had the opportunity to try the Old El Paso Taco seasoning mix in our own creation. Honestly, we have taco night around once a week here! It is so easy to do. We do mix it up a little with the different side dishes and ways to use the taco meat. In addition, we use the taco seasoning pouches for a kid friendly, super easy Spanish Rice. We love salads and taco salads and so that is what we made for our most recent taco night!
The kids wanted to have a picnic outside, and it was a nice October day, so what a better way to enjoy one of the last nice days of the year!
For our taco salads, we just crush tortilla chips first, then a layer of lettuce, then meat, cheese and toppings that we each enjoy! We all loved the taste of the taco meat with the Old El Paso seasoning. The salads were wiped out quick!

We have taco night quite a bit around my house. At least 3 times a month, usually more. We do switch it up though. Sometimes soft shell, sometimes hard. Sometimes beef, sometimes chicken. And sometimes we do the basic tacos with lettuce, tomatos, cheese, etc. but I’ve found a new one that we love. We do a bacon, chicken, ranch taco with the usual stuff. It is so good. We got the idea from Taco Bell but we just make it ourselves at home.

We have taco night about twice a month. Since my husband’s family has Spanish heritage, I’ve tried to make them as authentic as possible. But the best I do is soft/hard taco shells with refried beans in the middle, and adding fresh cilantro. At least I try!!

We love taco night. I usually buy the taco kits when they go BOGO and then if 1 person wants to crunch up the tacos for salad they can and anyone else can keep the shells whole for tacos. It works best for us.
