Does anyone know if the gift card can be used for shipping, and how much does shipping usually run? I have never shopped at this toy site before: Do they ever have sales?

It says that the gift card does NOT cover shipping, which runs a flat fee of $5.95 (free shipping on orders over $75). You can purchase three and they expire Dec. 31st.
