Here’s another Valentine’s Day shortcut idea that saves both time and money!

Make a paper heart wreath from scrapbook, cardstock, construction paper, etc.

This picture and idea is from the Parents.com website.

Here’s how to make this:

  • You will need several strips of 1 inch wide paper.  Each wreath requires 7 hearts.
  • Make the first 5 hearts by folding the paper in half, then create the heart shape by folding inward and then outward about an inch down and securing with tape, glue dots or glue sticks. Then complete the bottom by securing the two ends with tape, glue dots or glue sticks.
  • Now it’s time to make the two hearts at the top that are also the anchor for the ribbon. This time, when you form the heart-shape at the top, stick each of the ribbon into each and secure it with tape, glue dots or glue sticks and finish the bottom like the first 5.
  • Finally, connect each heart in a circle by adhering the sides to each other.

That’s it and it’s cute and done!
