Today is our annual trip to Krispy Kreme – why?
Because they are giving out FREE doughnuts to anyone that talks like a pirate. But even more fun is that if you dress like a pirate (with at least 3 pirate elements) you get a free dozen glazed. This is per person, not one per household.
My kids love Krispy Kreme (and we do too ;)) but we majorly limit ourselves and this has really become the tradition and the one day a year we indulge.
Krispy Kreme makes is really easy and fun to get your free doughnuts – they actually provide the list of the 3 elements required to get your free dozen doughnuts and they will even provide the printable elements so that it is easy for anyone to dress-up!

“Friday, September 19, any buccaneer to enter a participating Krispy Kreme and talk like a pirate gets one FREE Original Glazed® doughnut. To the landlubber who dares to wear full pirate attire goes a bounty of one FREE dozen Original Glazed doughnuts. Offer good on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19th, only. At participating US and Canadian locations (excludes Puerto Rico; Spartanburg/Anderson, SC; and all CT shops).
• Come in to a participating Krispy Kreme shop and Talk like a pirate for one FREE Original Glazed doughnut.
• Come in to a participating Krispy Kreme location in full pirate costume for one FREE dozen Original Glazed doughnuts. Qualifying pirate costumes must include three or more of the items below.

And HUGE Kudos to Krispy Kreme for making their treats accessible to those with nut allergies and this very rapidly growing epidemic! Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19th, 2014 for FREE Dozen Doughnuts….you should have put for a free doughnut……you only get the dozen IF YOU DRESS like a pirate….your headline is misleading…but thanks for telling us how to get a dozen….
