We are continuing our month-long party to kick off the holidays – our 2011 Thrifty Holidays Giveaway Party just for our readers and only found on our site! This whole month there will be new giveaways going up nearly every day and the prizes are worth over $2,000!!
We were asked to review the VTech Catch-Me-Kitty (Amazon has it for $20.37 and Walmart for $19.57) with the awesome prize of hosting a giveaway to you! The Catch-Me-Kitty is a fun, interactive toy that gives young children hours of play. The kitty has a sensor on both the front and back of the toy which alerts it when the child is chasing it and additionally keeps it from bumping into objects and walls (not to mention 5 month old baby boys!).
So we put it to the test by letting our 2.5 year old daughter and 5 month old son see what they thought of it. Our best suggestion is to watch the video below and you’ll find out! If you want to know the bottom line: they loved it! In fact, if there’s anything we would say negatively about this product is that our 2.5 year old daughter loves it so much that its become her favorite toy which means that all the sounds and music are heard for long periods of time. 🙂 But as parents of five children, we also know that means they are having fun which is what we were excited about!
This toy really does stimulate the senses – our five month old (I know it states for 12 months and older – he was supervised the whole time :)) just loved following the toy with his eyes, grabbing for it and laughing along the way. As for our daughter, the fact that she hasn’t broken it yet is a huge advantage for the durability of the kitty. Did we mention she loves it? She pets it, hugs it, and of course tells us every time she catches it!
