My favorite vacation was one I took with My husband and little brother. We drove through 4 states, visited lots of family, camped, explored back roads and ghost towns, and made many happy family memories.

I have so many favorite vacations its hard to pick. About 4 years ago my husband and I did a road trip from Washington State(where we live) to Michigan(where his family lives) We took our new puppy and camped our way over. We drove my husbands jeep and had major car problems. It was so much fun though!!

My favorite vacation ever was when I went to Norway with my family.

My favorite vacation thrifty tip is to do your research and plan ahead! You can often find coupons for restaurants online and on ebay that will save you money when you eat out!

Oops. Forgot to mention my favorite vacation….hmmm, I think any of our family reunions where we were camping would have to be my favorites. Lots of good potluck food, games, late nights laughing until your sides and cheeks hurt and playing cards, and visiting with everyone around the campfire.

My favorite vacation was celebrating my anniversary with my husband. We drove several hours to a state not our own to spend three days. The thrifty part: we stayed in a relative’s home while they were away, it was a very peaceful setting, and we saved on hotel cost!!

I am a FB liker also. My fave vacation is Ocean City, MD. We stay with relatives and spend most of the time on the beach. It’s pretty low cost for us, and you can’t beat the views of the ocean. Not to mention having a blast with my family.

Our favorite and thrifty vacation is camping in Oregon. We rent a state parks cabin (cheaper than a hotel) and stay for a week!

I saved $2200 on vacation this summer. I spent time applying for several grants (I’m a teacher) and one I got was a travel grant. I received $2200 for travel through Canada. It paidd for me, my mom and my daughter to all go! We had a blast and it was free. (I do have to write a report on it 🙁 but it’s worth it!)

My favorite vacation was a surprise trip to Disney with two other families. The best part was that none of the 9 kids in our group knew. We had them “bump” into each other at the park. Their faces were priceless and will be forever etched in my memory. Savings was great because it was the free dining. All I can do is smile while writing.

My favorite vacation was a trip to Wales with my husband! Wales is gorgeous and our trip took us really off the beaten tourist path. It was great – and a few thrifty things we did made a big difference. If you know anyone that works for an airline, they often have “buddy passes” or something like that they have to share with friends. We got these and few two for the price of one. They are standby seats, but to us it was quite worth it! Bed and breakfasts over there are an economical way to go – much cheaper than a hotel and includes a full Welsh breakfast. We also got lucky – when we reserved the cheapest automatic car they had, when we arrived they gave us a free upgrade to the nicest car on the lot – convertible, leather heated seats, the whole shebang. We didn’t ask for that – but we might next time!

My favorite vacation was two years ago when my whole family went to the beach together. Mom, dad, sisters, hubby’s, and all the kids. We had a blast. We always buy grocery’s and research what the best deals are for activities b/f leaving.

We love family reunions, the kids can run around with their cousins and we get to play games late into the night like we did when we were little. We are hoping to be able to take our kids on a ‘nice’ vacation to Disneyland in the future

We just got back from our first original family vacation in our 3.5 years of marriage! It was way overdue but my hubby just finished his phd dissertation so we were finally free to do so! We went camping in the white mountains of NH and it was lovely! I think we are going to back again before the end of summer, it was so great! Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite vacation is when we go camping as a family. Last year we went to Knobles in Pennsylvania with our six kids and my sister and brother in law and their two kids, another sister and her two kids and another sister and brother in law. Lots of good memories.

My favorite vacation was probably the trip we took just a few weeks ago to Southern California. We had an amazing time at our family reunion there and we even snuck in a visit to Disneyland, which we used our free passes on that we earned participating in the “Give a Day, Get a Day” service promotion that Disney ran earlier this year! 🙂

My favorite vacation was a trip to Disney World my family took back in 2007. We have been to Disney World many times but this trip was extra special because I was celebrating being cancer free for 5 years!!! I had hodgkins lymphoma in 2002. This trip was not a “thrifty” one because we really celebrated and probably spent way too much money, but it was a great trip that I’ll always remember!
