Here is our shopping trip this week! A Bountiful Basket!! We picked up our next basket of organic produce! Remember, we choose to get the organic basket if it fits in our budget! There are many different produce co-ops, but we use Bountiful Baskets. A conventional basket is $15 and an organic basket is $25!
Here’s a picture of what we got!
Here’s what we got:
- 3 organic romaine hearts
- 1 organic cantaloupe
- 1 organic package of baby bell peppers (red, orange, yellow and green) I have never used baby bell peppers – Can you use them just like the normal size??
- 3 organic mangoes
- 1 1-lb pack of organic baby carrots
- 7 organic bananas
- 4 organic beets
- 7 organic apricots
- 5 organic avocados
- 2 organic cucumbers
- 8 organic roma tomatoes
- a big pile of organic peas in the pod!
Along with the Little Swimmers that Thrifty Al stocked up on – this is all we have bought this week! I am going to try to go to Target today – but I will see if I can fit it in my schedule today 😉 If so, I will post that later too! I am going to “redeem” my birthday present today and will share the details later ………..
Also, we have friends in Twin Falls, ID, that have started taking advantage of the Bountiful Baskets produce co-op up there and wanted to send you over to the site Chronicles of a Christian Mom to see what they were able to get today from the conventional basket (which is $16.50 in Twin Falls vs. $15 in Utah). They got some nice looking things too! What a blessing to be able to have a “bountiful” amount of fresh produce for so cheap!
See what we have gotten in week’s past here, here plus learn about them here!
