On Valentines, we normally stay home with the kiddos and I will make a special meal and we will almost always pick out a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner. After the kids are asleep we typically snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie <3

I bake huge heart-shaped cookies and send one to each of my friends and relative. My Grandmother used to do this and I continue the tradition in her memory. A tradion that has been going for 55 yrs! I have been doing it for 24 of the 55 yrs and look forward to each February 14th. Happy Valentine’s to All !
Sarah
Now that we have a toddler, it will probably be wine and cheese and a movie at home. Which is fine with us!! But we’ve always steered clear of “typical” Valentine’s Day spots. No fancy restaurants, theaters, or shows for us. We do romantic things for our anniversary and fun things on Valentine’s Day, and we take turns planning. One of my favorites was a “progressive dinner”: we had appetizers at TGIFriday’s, the main course at Long John Silver’s, and dessert at Chili’s. So much fun!!!

My husband and I go for a nature walk at one of the parks inour city. We love talking walks and our first dates were mostly exploring parks. Then we’ll go to this deli that has the most delicious lobster sandwiches. We discoveredit 2 years ago and it’s like our little tradition now to go there on Valentine’s Day and on our anniversary 🙂

I used to make my husband a special candlelit dinner, complete with a romatic movie and back massage at home before we had kids. Now we usually just go out to eat at restaurant to give me a break from cooking. This year I am thinking about baking heart shaped cookies or red velvet cupcakes and taking them to elderly or older single people. It is always so much more fun to give than receive!
