Weekly Roundup: Introducing One of Our Base Recipe Secrets and 60 Ways to Save

We are extremely excited as this month we are introducing the concept of a monthly theme – meaning each month we will focus on a specific area to help you with your family’s budget. And this month we wanted to start with one of our favorites – and one of the most important base recipes we use in our kitchen – a Soup-or-Sauce (SOS) mix which replaces many of your canned soups and sauces whether you eat them by themselves or use them in another recipe such as a casserole. Not only is this a more frugal option, but the result with any recipe is a more tasty and healthier option. Our kids love it when the cream-of-whatever soups come to the table made from this SOS mix whereas in the past, any mix from the can just brought moans.
