Walmart Shopping Trip – We Were In Need of Produce

In addition to going to Target, Walmart was also on our path home from the $1.00 movies. I still felt like I needed to get more produce – we literally ran produce dry after not shopping last week and that is what we need/use most.  I figured that Walmart’s everyday low prices could fill-in the gaps from Target. Again, I went to Walmart unplanned and with hardly any coupons and a quick trip! Some coupons were peelies on packages there.

Walmart shopping trip results

  • 1 package of Cole Slaw for $1.48 = final is $1.48
  • 1 bag organic carrots for .88 = final is .88
  • 1 bag baby carrot petites for $1.66 = final is $1.66
  • 18 organic eggs for $2.82 = final is $2.82
  • 6 Kiwi fruits for .25 each = final is $1.50
  • 1 Red Cabbage head for $1.42 = final is $1.42
  • 1 bunch asparagus for $1.84 = final is $1.84
  • 1 celery bunch for $1.24 = final is $1.24
  • 3.80 lbs. of apples for .94 lb. = final is $3.57
  • 3 Beefsteak tomatoes for $1.00 = final is $1.00
  • 1 package Pita  bread for $1.50 = final is $1.50
  • 4 Babybel cheeses for $3.28 each = $13.12. Then used 2 BOGO FREE coupons – $6.56 = final is $6.56 for 4 or $1.64 each
  • 1 lemon juice for .88 = final is .88
  • 2 Elmo bubble bath for $2.48 each $4.96. Then used 2 $1.00/1 = final is $2.96 for 2 or $1.48 each
  • 3 Mr. Bubble bath for $1.76 each = $5.28. Then used 3 $1.00/1 = final is $2.28 for 3 or .76 each
  • 1 Texas Toast Dip’n sticks (treat for at home pizza night) for $2.98. Then used .55/1 peelie = final is $2.43

Summary: The total was $46.13 before coupons.  We then used $12.11 in coupons which made our final total $34.02.

All in all, we were pleased with the results and we will probably be skipping our coupon planned shopping trips this week as we really are not in need of anything else – coupon shopping to resume next week 😉
