We save $ on babysitting by having our friends watch our kids while we go out, then we watch theirs for them so they can go out!

We don’t go out to dinner on Valentine’s Day, but usually the weekend before or after. We also try to use a Restaurant.com gift certificate to the restaurant we are going to.

We have been thinking about having other families over for Valentine’s Day (the Saturday before). HOMEMADE is always cheaper. Maybe have each family bring something as well! We love the thrifty couple!!

The best Valentine’s Day “date” I ever had, we invested in some great ingredients, cooked together, then watched movies on TV all night long. Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful.

The most precious gift my SO can give me is time and his undivided attention (especially in today’s world, where we’re all plugged in 24/7).

Oldie but goodie…I make up coupon books for sweetie: massages, one night out with the guys, one car wash, favorite meal, etc. For my mom I give a lunch out, or chores done for her, errands, etc. Just requires a little time and love doing things for those I love.
