target deals coupon free

I did some shopping at Target this week! I was in need of things that happen to go on sale the same week we ran out! My kids will only use Agent Cool Blue mouthwash as everything else is “spicy.” Anyway, they used the last of it on Wed. night! And guess what, these bottles that are normally $4, were really cheap!! We stocked up, in addition to a few other things!

Here is a what we bought!

target trip february 25, 2010

  • 2 5 lb. Boxes of Cuties Clementines $4.99 each = $9.98. Then used 2 $1/1 SS 2/7 or $1/1 – $2 = final is $7.98 for 2 or $3.99 each!
  • 2 1 lb. packages of Sutton & Dodge Chuck Steak = $3.88. Then used 2 $1/1 Target coupon – $2 = final is $1.88 for 2 or .94 each!
  • 3 Renuzit Neuralizer for $1.92 each = $5.76. Then used Buy 2 Get 1 FREE RP 2/14 – $1.92 = $3.84. Then used 2 $1/1 – $2 = final is $1.84 for 3 or .61 each!
  • 1 Pictureka card game $5.24. Then used $5/1 = final is .24!
  • 1 Scrabble Slam card game $5.24. Then used $4/1 = final is $1.24
  • 6 Kids Oral B Stages toothbrushes for $1.99 each = $11.94. Then used 6 $1/1 PG 2/7 – $6 = $5.94. Then used 1 .75/1 Target Mobile Coupon = final is $5.19 for 6 or .87 each! (See explanation at the end of this post regarding Target Mobile coupons).
  • 1 Baby Oral B Stages toothbrush for $2.29. Then used $1/1 PG 2/7 = final is $1.29
  • 3 Bonus packs (extra bottle 2 bottles for the price of 1) of Agent Cool Blue Listerine $3.99 = $11.97. Then used 1 $5/3 coupon from the Weight Watcher’s magazine January = final is $6.97 for 6 bottles or $1.16 each! (Some Target’s are offering a $5 Target gift card with the purchase of 3 Listerine products, mine is not 🙁 but $1.16 for bottles that are normally $4 is still great!

SUMMARY: The total came to $67.02, then after sale prices considered it dropped to $56.30 AFTER the sale prices.  I then used $27.00 of coupons which brought my total to $29.30! Savings of 52% off of the sale prices, just by using coupons and a total of 56%!

The one thing I was disappointed about was that I was only able to use 1 Target mobile coupon.  I was hoping to use .75/1 Target coupon 7 times for the 7 toothbrushes, which would be an additional $4.50 off.  I was the first one to use a mobile coupon with this particular checker (it was kinda exciting for us both!).  Anyway, I asked if I could use it all 7 times.  He said that normally we can print off and use as many Target coupons as we have products (meaning if I bought 7 toothbrushes, I could have printed 7 Target coupons and used each one, separate coupon per purchase). He wasn’t sure in the case of mobile coupons, and so we just decided to use 1 to be on the safe side of following the rules.  He told me to go talk to customer service as this is a very good question and he just simply did not know the answer.  I talked to them, but as it was late at night, no one seemed to be familiar with the Target mobile coupon rules for how many times you can use a Target coupon.  It does have similar wording to a maufacurer’s coupon, in that it says one per purchase (NOT per transaction). At any rate, I decided that .87 was still a great deal, especially for kid’s toothbrushes and then will try to get some solid answers on the mobile coupon rules for the future.  If you have used any mobile coupons yet, let us know your experience and maybe what you have been told about usage with them!
