I am in love with this Frosty the Snowman Place setting idea for a simple Christmas Table Decor solution!

It is incredibly easy, practical and so stinkin’ cute! Using a Snowmen theme for decorating the table by using items that you would already be using to eat dinner is brilliant!

Let me show you how to execute this simple Christmas table decor with Frosty the Snowman Place Setting Idea.

Frosty the Snowman Place Setting

One of the reasons why I love this so much is that you are simply using the place settings you already have and need for that party or Christmas dinner – the plates, napkins, fork, knife and spoons. But instead of the traditional placement, you are placing them in a snowman arrangement.

It solves the table decor problem, along with solving the practical table setting.

Here’s the even cooler part about your Frosty the Snowman Place Setting:

This example I am going to show you is all disposable. Yes, you can do this same exact setting with reusable dishes, but even better is when you can save yourself some time and sanity and use disposable!

For this setting, it was for a church Christmas party. This was the kids’ table. My friend was actually the one that came up with this idea and executed it for the Christmas party. The kids were so thrilled to eat at a cute themed table that had Frosty the Snowman Place Settings. It really made the atmosphere very festive.

Then, when the party was over, when dinner was done, we just picked it all up and tossed it! So simple!

What I also love about this idea is that you don’t have to go through a lot of decorating around the party room or house otherwise as this adds some very nice, simple and festive decor for the whole atmosphere.

Finally, it is a multi-purpose decor, which ultimately means you are saving money in the process too. Since you are arranging the table with the items you already need to eat, you are getting multiple purposes out of the plates, forks, knives, spoons and napkins!

This whole Frosty the Snowman Place Setting would be adorable also coupled with a snowman treat. Consider making Snowman Pretzels, Snowman Fudge or even Snowman cupcakes to carry on your theme!

Here’s what you need for this Simple Christmas Table Decor Idea: Frosty the Snowman Place Setting

I will first share the basics of this place setting, whether you decide to make it disposable like the example or even use regular dishes, then I will go into details about modifications on the food part.

Basics for the Frosty the Snowman Place Setting:

Note that the non-food items for this table set-up can be found at the dollar store!

  • White small dessert plates
  • White large dinner plates
  • Any design or black small dessert napkins
  • Any design large dinner napkins
  • Knife – any type, except clear
  • Fork – any type, except clear
  • Spoon – any type, except clear
  • Something edible for the nose
  • Something edible for the eyes
  • Something edible for the mouth
  • Something edible for the buttons

Let’s talk about some food modifications to your Frosty the Snowman Place Setting.

We love to make the facial features edible. You can make the face to be sweet treats, savory foods or a combination of both!

Here are some ideas on what you can use for each facial element of your Snowman Place Setting.

Something edible for the nose:

  • Baby carrots
  • Carrot slices
  • Twizzlers or Red Vines
  • Pretzel sticks

Pick two of these – one a little bigger than the other. Use the bigger selection for the two eyes.

  • blueberries
  • olives
  • olive slices
  • chocolate chips
  • Mini oreos
  • Milk Duds
  • Whoppers
  • Raisins
  • Raisinetts
  • Brown M&M’s
  • Rolos
  • Kisses
  • Chocolate covered peanuts
  • Chocolate covered almonds

Something edible for the buttons:

  • Peppermint patties
  • Kisses
  • Mini Oreos
  • Rolos
  • Olives (use olive slices for eyes and olive slivers for the mouth)
  • Milk duds
  • Whoppers
  • Blueberries
  • Grapes
  • strawberry slices
  • Peanut M&M’s
  • Chocolate covered peanuts
  • Chocolate covered almonds

In the end, these are the ideas for the food facial features that we have for these adorable snowmen, but there are also many more that you could probably find around your house already.

Now it’s time to assemble your Frosty the Snowman Place Setting

  1. Place the small plate above the large plate on the table
  2. Then place the small dessert napkin above the small plate, tilted at an angle
  3. After that, place the knife across the bottom of the small dessert napkin, replicating a hat rim
  4. Unfold and fluff out the large dinner napkin
  5. Place it between the two plates to replicate a scarf
  6. Then, place the fork and spoon at the sides of the large plate to replicate arms
  7. Make your face with your chosen foods onto the small dessert plate!
  8. Add your foodie buttons to your large plate.
  9. Viola! Adorable Christmas table decor from everyday stuff
