June 15 by Cassie 3 Comments

We ran to Smiths tonight (after FREE Hot Dog on a Stick and using our FREE $10 off $10 purchase at JCPenney – literally walked out of the mall without spending a penny!) to grab just a few things the last night of the sale.

Here’s a picture of what we bought:

Smiths shopping trip June 15th

Here’s the breakdown!

  • 1.40 lbs. of grapes sale for $1.50 lb. = $2.10
  • 2.32 lbs. of bananas at .52 lb. = $1.21
  • 1 lb. Strawberries sale for $2 = $2.00
  • 3.43 lbs. apples at .99 lb = $3.40
  • 1 head of Romaine lettuce at $1.49 = $1.49
  • 2 2-lbs bags of baby carrots normally $3.29 = $6.58, marked down to .99 each = $1.98
  • 1 Minute Maid 100% Orange Juice normally $2.71, marked down to $1.39 = $1.39
  • 1 Promise Butter normally $3.39 – sale for $1.49. Then used .65/1 RP 5/23 = final is .84
  • 12 boxes of crackers normally $2.79 each = $33.48 on sale for $1.67 each = $20.04. Then used 6 $1/2 SS 5/16 = final is $14.04 for 12 boxes or $1.17 each
  • 2 Goldfish crackers normally $2.18 each = $4.36 sale for $1 each = $2.00. Then used 2 .35/1 – .70 = final is $1.30 for 2 or .65 each
  • 2 Goldfish Graham crackers normally $2.18 each = $4.36 sale for $1 each = $2.00. Then used 2 .75/1 – $1.50 = final is .50 for 2 or .25 each!

Summary: Total was $65.08, then saved $25.98 in-store sales/discounts which made the total $39.10.  We then used $8.85 in manufacturer’s coupon, in addition to a $3 store coupon – $11.85 in coupons = final total was $27.25! Nearly 60% savings!!
