This is sorta crazy. When we heard about this last year, we didn’t believe it at first because it is such an odd type of deal.
I am not sure if I have ever heard of a restaurant offering an unlimited food pass…it sounds like something that is a farse. But we can assure you that it truly is not and it is really real.
Olive Garden is offering the opportunity for 21,000 people to claim a pasta pass for $100 that gives you unlimited pasta for a 7-week time period (10/3/2016 – 11/20/2016). But to purchase this pass, it is for one-day only and that is on Thursday, September 15th at 2pm EST.
With this pass, you can eat in at any Olive Garden restaurant and receive as many servings of the unlimited pasta bowl for as many times as you want during the period, along with unlimited soda refills during your 7-week period.
The better news is that as a passholder, everyone at your table receives unlimited drinks (non-alcoholic) during the visits they come with you.
The restrictions: Not many!
- Used during the 7-weeks only
- Used only on the Never Ending Pasta Bowl Selections that allows you to choose the pasta, the sauce and toppings. This is not offered on their menu all of the time, they are only bringing it back for 7-weeks and the normal price is $9.99 each time you go. But during this period of return, they are offering the pasta pass for never ending for 7-weeks.
- Used for dine-in only.
- Used by only one person – your name will be attached and you will be required to show I.D. so no sharing passes.
- Must purchase your pass during the one-day sale…note that last year, they offered 2,000 and they were gone in one-second. This year, 21,000 are being offered…maybe the sale will be only 10.5 seconds this year. You will want to be on and ready for that 2pm EST time if you want one – you can find the link 30 minutes early so you can jump on it right on the clock!
Do you love pasta enough to do this? Would it be worth-in in your case? You’d have to attend a minimum of 10 times in 7 weeks to “pay for itself.” Granted, that doesn’t include the unlimited drinks, which do add value of you get drinks when eating out. Apparently 2,000 people in one-second thought it was worth-it last year. Will you be one to get one this year?
Honestly, I love pasta. That’s part of the problem. If I got one, I’d feel like I’d need two so I didn’t eat alone and then I would be trying to get my monies worth and go more than I should…which would not be good because even just looking at the Olive Garden menu…I gain 3 pounds.
But thankfully, I am not inclined to spend $100 and not tempted, but it could be a great deal for you!
We’d love to hear if you got one!
