It is Friday and the middle of September already. Fall is literally around the corner! With Friday also comes Fun Fabulous Friday here on The Thrifty Couple.

This week is going to be called – Fall Is Coming. We want to hear any tip that you for Fall activities. It is hard to not be in a slump soon after Summer. So now is the chance for you to read up on ideas and share one of your own.
Tips like: what you like to do, family activities, favorite fall foods/recipes, any ideas to get us out of a slump and to enjoy the cooling weather (indoor or out).

Tips for fall in San Antonio… hmm… Fall doesn’t usually last long here. I just try to make the most of what little fall weather we get. Find a good trail and go walking, cycling… whatever you fancy and get out and enjoy the weather. sorry if I’m no help…. we don’t get much time in between 105 degrees and 45 degrees…..

I love fall! Bring it indoors…carve small pumpkins and fill with branches of fall leaves for centerpieces…I also love fall scents…bring out the pumpkin or apple pie spiced candles! Oh, apples! My husband doesn’t cook much, but he loves to make applesauce and can it with me…head out to a local cider mill for fresh doughnuts and cider and enjoy!

I love fall! When it begins I go to the apple orchard and stock up on apples and cider. I then go through my recipe books and bake all I can with those two items. I usually have a harvest party with chili, and all kinds of fall goodies including sour cream apple bars, liquid payday, spiced apple cider, apples with caramel dip, and pumpkin bread!
