Recipe type: Dessert
Ingredients
  • 1 box white cake mix (I used Duncan Hines)
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • Red and blue food gel/coloring
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, add the cake mix, oil and eggs. Mix with a spoon until well incorporated (the cookie dough will be very sticky).
  4. Using 3 smaller bowls, divide up the dough into three equal parts.
  5. In one bowl, add 3 drops red food gel. In the second bowl, add 2 drops blue food gel. The third bowl does not need any food coloring.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the 3 bowls of cookie dough for an hour.
  7. Scoop the powdered sugar into a shallow bowl.
  8. Once chilled, form the cookie dough into 1 inch balls.
  9. Roll each 1 inch ball into the powdered sugar and place on the cookie sheet. Be sure to position them at least 1 inch apart for expansion.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes exactly or the powdered sugar will start to brown.
  11. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to completely cool.
  12. ENJOY!!
