Recipe type: Homemade Cleaning Product
Ingredients
  • ½ cup baking soda
  • ½ cup of warm water
  • Several drops of classic blue dawn (other dish soaps *may work, but I know that the ingredients in this version do some miraculous cleaning around the house)
  • Several drops of lemon essential oil
  • Aluminum Foil
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, add the baking soda, the dish soap and the lemon essential oil in the bowl.
  2. Then add the ½ cup of warm water and mix well (a regular spoon will do!).
  3. Then add the ½ cup of warm water and mix well (a regular spoon will do!).
  4. You want this to soak for a while. At least an hour, but even overnight.
  5. Basically, when you "tip" the pan, you want to see a layer of paste sticking to the pan and the excess liquid falling to the bottom.
  6. Once it has soaked for a while, then cut off a good sized strip of aluminum foil and scrunch into a ball.
  7. Begin, scrubbing the pan. Put a little elbow grease into it, but aluminum foil will really be the only effective tool! You may need to replace the aluminum foil a couple of times because it will become a really tight ball when you use it and put pressure on it. A fresh ball a couple of times will give you the most effective cleaning.
  8. You will notice your water solution turning black and dirtier the more your scrub! YAY for the burn being removed!
  9. Keep scrubbing until you feel satisfied! Then rinse and wash as usual.
