Recipe type: Breakfast
Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 1 package of regular size crescent rolls (8ct.)
  • 8 slices of bacon or sausage crumbles
  • 1-1.5 cups of cheese
  • 5 eggs, pre-scrambled and cooked
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning (homemade recipe here)
  • 1 TBSP of olive oil
Instructions
  1. Prepare your meats (by cooking or getting out of the freezer)
  2. Prepare your eggs by scrambling and cooking them with your preferred method
  3. Lay out a piece of parchment paper onto a cookie sheet or grease a cookie sheet
  4. Then open the crescent rolls and lay them flat into a circle - or a sun with 8 "beams" coming off your sun! Press the dough together in the middle.
  5. Play a slice of bacon on each of the beams or spoon a pile of sausage in the middle.
  6. Next, sprinkle the shredded cheese on each beam and in the middle!
  7. Our family LOVES cheese, so we use more like 1.5 cups - yummo!
  8. Next, pile the eggs in the middle of the sun.
  9. Next, roll up each of the beams to the middle and press the dough together in the middle. This will make more of a bundt look!
  10. Prepare the topping by using store-bought or homemade Italian Seasoning.
  11. Mix the Italian Seasoning and olive oil in a small bowl.
  12. Then spread the topping onto the sunrise breakfast with a pastry brush.
  13. Then bake on 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until it has browned. *If you are using a dark pan, you may want to decrease the temperature to about 325 degrees.
  14. Serve warm.
