Ingredients
  • Natural foods and spices (listed below for desired color)
  • White Distilled Vinegar
  • Water
Instructions
  1. Blue - Red Cabbage: Cut ½ of a red cabbage into chunks. Then boil the red cabbage in 4 cups of water. Then add 2 TBSP of vinegar. Cool to room temperature. Remove the cabbage chunks and submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
  2. Yellow - Turmeric: Boil 1 cup of water. Then stir in 2 TBSP turmeric powder (ground turmeric) - a coffee mug works best. Then add 2 tsp. white vinegar. Submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
  3. Lavender - Grape Juice:Mix 1 cup of room temperature grape juice with 1 TBSP of vinegar - a coffee mug works best. Submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
  4. Brown - Coffee:Mix 1 cup of room temperature strong coffee with 1 TBSP of vinegar - a coffee mug works best. Submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
  5. Pink - Beets: Peel and cut a red beet into chunks. Then boil the red beet in 4 cups of water. Then add 2 TBSP of vinegar. Cool to room temperature. Remove the beet chunks and submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
  6. Orange - Yellow Onion skins: Remove the brown skins from 6 yellow onions. Add to a pot with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Then simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the onion skins. Add 1 TBSP of vinegar. Cool to room temperature. Submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
  7. Red - Paprika: Add 3 TBSP of Paprika to 4 cups of boiling water. Then add 2 TBSP of vinegar. Cool to room temperature. Submerge eggs until desired color is reached.
Notes
This gives you 7 color varieties that will all be richer in color the longer the soak (or you can make the solution stronger by adding more of the color creator to the water/vinegar listed. You can also soak in the fridge overnight for the most vibrant color!
