I know it doesn’t seem like it could be, but it is time to share the Christmas Planner printables to make your life much easier this year!
When it comes to Christmas time, many are stressing in multiple ways surrounding Christmas.
I am sure you can come up with the most stressful worry during Christmas ==> Money.
In fact, in a survey of recent Christmas spending, the average household obtains $986 in debt each Christmas. When asked, 73 percent of the consumers surveyed planned to pay it all off in one to six months, but 27 percent said they plan to only pay the minimum payment. If they obtained the debt at the average of 14 percent interest rate, it would take 104 months to pay it off at the minimum.
That means that one out of four consumers may still be paying for that Christmas eight years later. The 73 percent who plan to pay it off within six months are still paying for the past Christmas, probably even before starting a savings for the upcoming Christmas.
But money is not the only stress.
- There is a time stress
- There is a gift stress
- There is an entertainment stress
- There are scheduling stresses
- There are travel stresses
- There is decorating stress….
- And the list goes on
In the past, we have driven up our Christmas-stress-o-meter to the limit, especially financially.
But over the years (13 to be more exact!) we have been getting our finances in order and our budget in order, and determined to never go into debt for Christmas again.
Lesson learned: It requires a plan.
It requires a plan to stay debt-free.
And it requires a plan to reduce time planning and prepping for Christmas.
It requires a plan so you ensure that you don’t miss anyone or that you are treating all kids fairly in the family (if you are a parent to more than one child, you know how important this is!).
Planning makes Christmas enjoyable from all angles.
There is still plenty of time to set a budget and pay for Christmas with cash, but a good plan will help you get there. This planner helps you plan the money aspects of Christmas.
