I set our baby boy down in the family room with the big kids so I could clean the kitchen.  He’s crawling now and pulling himself up! So what does he do?  He crawls over to the cabinet and pulls down a bunch of coupon inserts!

The big kids, knowing how important the coupons are,  start yelling that there is an emergency! I come running to find our little rascal rustling and ripping up coupons! You can see him there on the left having fun!

Oh Yes I can Relate to this! Up until this past Wednesday my coupons were a mess! Completely unorganized mess all over the place! I was finding coupons in the strangest places! I found a coupon in my underware drawer! (I bought a pack of Socks and it had attached to the plastic packaging and I threw the pack into the drawer). Three days ago I got myself a coupon organizer binder (Coupon Mom) and I sat down to put it together. It took me about 3 hours of uninterrupted time to get it all done. I had fun with my kids having them search all over the house to find any “runaway” coupons! Hopefully, now I will stay organized!!! LOL!

Baby loves inserts and ads. I don’t know why they’re so fascinating! But the texture of junk mail is his favorite, beyond any other paper goods. Silly babies…

I save adds and old inserts just so little ones can have this kind of fun without causing me any stress 🙂

Oh yes!!! after 4 kids i finally have it figured out – i stock up on kleenex bloxes and let them pull each kleenex out 1 at a time. it keeps them occupied for quite a long time. then, i put the still-usable kleenexes in a ziplock bag for future use on runny noses. i even gift-wrapped a box for my daughter’s 1st birthday (much to my husband’s horror) and it was her favorite gift. with coupons, this is a super cheap game for busy hands to play and keep them out of my more important papers. i also have a large paper recycling bin that i let them play in. they have just as much fun putting the papers back in as they had pulling them out.

Oh man, that would be so frustrating! You wouldn’t know which coupon went to what insert.

My baby boy is totally into coupons, too! I have started leaving a stack of expired inserts on the top of my coupon files. That way, he’ll get into those first, and I will hopefully have plenty of warning before he gets into my coupons. Plus, these expired coupons are fun for my older girls to use to play “grocery store” with!

I have no children, but I can’t leave my inserts anywhere near my ferrets! They think any kind of paper is great fun, inserts in particular. So I have to hide them, unless I want them to become ferret bedding…lol.
