Apples are awesome. Plain and simple. They are an amazing, frugal fruit that you can do so many things with! Our Apple Rose Pastries are a huge hit and I actually didn’t even make them! My 8 & 9 year old girls did!

We make all kinds of things with apples thanks to the two apple trees in our backyard and the fact that they are a frugal year-round healthy snack. So we are going to share another super easy recipe with you today using apples that will end up WOWing everyone that tastes and sees this beautiful dish.

And this is another one that my girls make.

You can watch the video assembly and recipe and then written instructions are below. There is also a printable version of this recipe.

Ingredients needed for Apple Nachos:

  • Red and Green Apples (I used 2 of each thinly sliced for this dish)
  • Mini M&M’s
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Caramel syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Chopped pecans
  • Lemon juice

How To Make Apple Nachos:

  • Thinly slice the apples to where you get around 10-12 slices per apple.
  • Put them in a bowl and squirt a bit of lemon juice on them to keep them from turning brown. Stir them gently to spread the lemon juice.
  • Using a platter/plate of choice, begin by alternating between the red and green in a circular motion or the shape of your dish.
  • Then add whipped cream in the middle.
  • Using your chocolate syrup, follow the pattern and make a syrup swirl!
  • Repeat with the caramel, also dashing this onto the whipped cream (chocolate on the whipped cream makes it run and have a funny color)
  • Then sprinkle with the pecans and M&M’s.
  • Serve immediately

If you are going to serve this at a party or gathering, we highly recommend assembling on the spot because 1. it will not travel well, 2. sitting too long will cause apples to brown, whipped cream to run and more 3. if you enter any place with this in your hand already, it will be gone before it reaches the table. So it is safest to assemble in hiding and quickly add to the table. 🙂

Here’s a printable version of the recipe. Just click on the “print” button below.
