Recipe type: Homemade Personal Care
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup Castile Soap, such as: Dr. Bronners
  • ¾ cup water (distilled or boiled if you don't plan to use the soap within a few weeks)
  • 1 Tbsp. vitamin E oil
  • 1 Tbsp. nourishing oil such as: sweet almond or jojoba oil 15 drops tea tree essential oil
  • 5-10 drops lavender or peppermint essential oil
Instructions
  1. In a mason jar, add the water first (to prevent bubbles) then the liquid castile soap, followed by the oils.
  2. If you want to be fancy and have your soap dispenser last, you can top your mason jar with a rust proof soap pump or you can get a whole kit here. If you want to be thrifty, just reuse any soap dispenser currently in your home. I have actually use the same ones from buying SoftSoap many years ago and still refill them to this day. I also have bought the foaming soaps in the past and these dispensers can also be refilled and I use these still too! The foaming is fabulous because you use 3 times less!
  3. Shake the ingredients together.
  4. Shake the soap dispenser before using, and then squirt a small amount on your hands as needed, rinsing with water.
