Recipe type: Side Dish
Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup powdered milk
  • 2 TBSP of Parsley or Summer Savory
  • 1 tsp of dill weed
  • 1 tsp of celery seed
  • 1.5 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 2 TBSP of dried onion flakes
  • 1 tsp of pepper or 1.5 tsp lemon pepper (lemon pepper adds a nice subtle tang)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • *optional - 2 tsp of dried chives or dried green onions
  • Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and store in a glass jar or other air tight container to use when you need it!
  • Then you can use this mix for any recipes calling for dry ranch mix, or try it coated on potatoes or other veggies or chicken! All of this is fantastically yummy!
Instructions
How to prepare actual ranch dressing from this mix
  1. one-third (1/3) cup Mayo or Greek Yogurt (for a healthier version)
  2. one-third (1/3) cup milk
  3. One TBSP of the above seasoning
  4. *for a buttermilk like version, also add 1 tsp of white distilled vinegar
  5. Whisk all of the ingredients together. For a thicker consistency, add a little more mayo until you reach the thickness you want. Likewise, if you want it thinner, just add a little more milk and mix. The BEST method for mixing this by hand is if you have a blender bottle or a bottle/jar with a tightly sealed lid that you can vigorously shake! You can store it in the fridge prepared for several days.
