Recipe type: Main Course
Cuisine: Casserole
Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can Manwich (15.5 oz)
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 cups of shredded cheese (depending on how much you like – we are a “cheesy” family – in more ways than one  ha!
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • *a few dashes of garlic salt/powder
  • *a few dashes of dried parsley flakes
Instructions
  1. Brown the ground beef or turkey (I also use our prepared beef for this to literally get this in the oven in a couple of minutes).
  2. Drain the meat (and rinse if you would like!)
  3. Add the onion to start sautéing
  4. Once onions are soft and browned add the can of Manwich
  5. Cook together until heated through
  6. Pour meat mixture into a greased 9×9 pan (the pictures show this recipe doubled)
  7. Sprinkle half of the cheese (whether 1 or .5 cup)
  8. In a separate bowl, mix the Bisquick, milk, egg, and the rest of the cheese together!
  9. Then add your garlic salt/powder and parsley flakes (or Italian Seasoning) to preferred taste
  10. Pour the Bisquick mixture over the meat mixture.
  11. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  12. Serve warm!
  13. This does re-heat nicely, so if I make this for dinner at home, I usually do double the recipe so that Alex has lunch the next day and we often do as well!
