A nutritious and protein packed breakfast is a perfect way for anyone to start the day! This recipe is also an easy way to enjoy French Toast without all of the effort! This is also a frugal recipe as you can feed a lot of people for very little!

Ingredients
  • 8-10 eggs (depending on denseness of the bread)
  • 3 cups milk (any type)
  • 3 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 1 1-lb loaf of bread cut into 1-inch cubes
Baked on Topping:
  • 4 TBSP of Butter (Real is Best)
  • 2 TBSP of sugar
  • 2 tsp. of cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Place your cut up cubes of bread into a greased 9x13 baking/casserole dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla.
  3. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread in the dish. If you need to move the bread around to get the egg mixture on each piece.
  4. Let it set for 10 minutes.
  5. In the mean time, make your topping by mixing the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkling evenly over the top of the bread/egg mixture.
  6. Then melt the butter and spoon it evenly over the tops of the casserole.
  7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45-55 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
  8. Serve and top with your favorite toppings for french toast if desired, or eat as it is!
