I love my silicone basting brush! There is a lot of silicone cookware and bakeware out there that I have not tried – floppy muffin tins, for example, make me nervous. But I really like the way the silicone brush works – floppy enough not to damage fragile doughs, firm enough to brush well, and brush-y enough to pick up plenty of whatever you are brushing on. (Something healthy, I hope. I certainly would not use MY basting brush almost exclusively for slathering everything in butter. Ahem.)

We saw this deal today and at first we weren’t sure how good of a deal it was until we researched. We haven’t purchased an oscillating sprinkler for several years as our last home purchase, we were blessed to have an already installed sprinkler system. But there was a time when we needed these and we always used the oscillating. Plus kids love to use these sprinklers for water play, so it can serve as double duty!

We saw this great deal of the day today from Sears and wanted to pass it along for anyone that has road trip travel! We bought a hard case Thule carrier used a couple of years ago and if you see Thrifty Helena, it will be sitting on top! Since we are a family of 7, the Thule is the ONLY way we can go anywhere for more than 2 nights 
It is a must for us and allows us to have more thrifty travel as we have more room to pack our own food and cooler too (the cooler goes in the body of Thrifty Helena and duffle bags in the top ).
