Today’s is awesome!
It looks expensive and it looks like it could be a lot of work, but….. it’s neither!
Make a fabric covered bench for less than $10! The original idea was from a friend who pinned the picture, but after a Google search and several links later, we found the original home and this version is a kids one, but the same concept done with any potential bench! The original poster has more details on her bench on The Mother Huddle Blog.
- Buy a board and 4 legs/rail legs all for less than $5 at Home Depot/Lowes.
- Buy enough fabric and batting to cover and staple on the underside of the bench (around $2ish or cheaper with coupons). You can also use any fabric you already have. This will save you even more!
- Staple the fabric around the bench and you are done!
- Then paint the legs with spray paint ($3ish) and attach to the board.
Now the cost of the supplies will vary based on what you personally prefer, but that gives you an idea.
Also, if you already have a bench or buy a used one at a garage or rummage sale, you can do the same thing! Also, old coffee, small kitchen tables (with legs cut down), and the square side tables would also be a good alternative.
You can find fabric to match any current decor in any room. It is a very easy DIY project and a very useful one too!
What do you think of this idea? Have you ever tried this or will you try it?
