If you are a homeschooler, there are several sites out there that will allow you to sell your homeschool curriculum. Many homeschooling homes have a lot of curricula, books, materials and more laying around collecting dust!
Why not sell your items to a target audience and make some extra cash??
Well, that is exactly what you can do with these sites! You could also probably list your items on as many of these as you want for maximum exposure too!
Homeschool Classifieds HERE. They claim to be the biggest and largest online homeschool classifieds resource, which they very well could be. The only thing is that I really don’t like the layout of the site. It is a little difficult to use, but it looks like a very rich resource! There is a free option that gives you limited listing ability, and then some affordable options for listing on a normal basis or better ads.
Next up is the Homeschooler’s Curriculum Swap. They say that they are the oldest of it’s kind! So this could also be a good place to list items! They charge $5.49 a month for up to 100 ads with up to 3 pictures each! That is not a bad price.. BUT…. we also spotted this update on their site, so it could be free now (or at least a free option available!)
Leigh’s List is a forum type of classifieds and it is free to be a member and start selling!
Now another option is to sell your books and receive cash NOW through a consignment type online store. This one is called Second Harvest Curriculum (usedhomeschoolbooks.com). This is not like a typical consignment store though – you get your cash immediately, not just when they sell it! So that is a nice option for cash right now. They say that they will pay you 40-50% of the price that they would list it at.
Finally, for an “auction” type of selling option, you can consider the marketplace on the HSLDA website. However, you do need to be a member of HSLDA to participate, but if you are (like us!), this is a good option!
Now we should figure out what we can sell and make some extra income while preparing for the new school year 🙂 These are great options for buying things you need at a discount too and save some money!
