With holidays right around the corner and shipping occurring more often during this time, this is a great time to register for a free service from UPS. We have been free members for over a year now and LOVE it! This free service from UPS is called UPS My Choice. From our our experience, we highly encourage you to register for this free service. Read on to find out why! The best part is that it is FREE!
At first, we honestly didn’t think it was going to be that much of a big deal when we could just go to the UPS site directly and track a package; we had no idea what the big deal was with this service. But we have used it so much with our shipping and have learned just how much greater it is and is super cool!
Here’s a quick description from them:

So we seriously thought we would just sign up for it because it was free thinking that we would give it a whirl without much to lose.
Well, quickly learned how cool this really was. Any company (which is a good chunk of companies) or any package shipped via UPS that is coming to your address gets this special treatment:
- You will receive an email (without having to manually go to the UPS site and input the tracking number) when your item has shipped with all of the details about the delivery. UPS just knows (because of what you fill out when you register – signup is thorough but is a nice security feature) that when its being shipped to you that it should send you these updates!
- Then if there are any changes to the delivery, you will receive an email letting you know. See the email below that we recently received:
- I love that – it is very reassuring!
- Also, you can make delivery changes, re-route a package or make any necessary changes needed to ensure safe delivery of your package.
You will not know how valuable this service is until you experience it! It is one of those that once you have it, you don’t want to be without it!
With that, they are offering this for free right now. When you register, there are a few questions and forms as they want to ensure safety and security for your shipping information and so it is a secure sign-up with more security questions than signing up for anything else. It took us about 3 minutes to sign-up!
Also, last time they also offered a 25% off shipping services coupon, we are not for sure if they are offering this again as we can’t sign-up again, but wanted to let you know about this possibility too! It would be perfect to get those coupons too this time of year!
