Thrifty Kids Thursday is back! Today we are sharing a fun, super simple, thrifty and entertaining way for your kids to spend approximately 30 minutes in play – possibly enough time for you to get some tasks done. It’s called Sidewalk Water Painting.
Sidewalk Water Painting is really easy to set-up fast! Just grab a cup of water and either a paintbrush or spongebrush and let their creative juices flow….literally! The last time Michael’s had their spongebrushes on sale for .10 each, we grabbed a couple of dollars worth hoping to use them on a long list of activities. If you use the spongebrushes, they will probably need to be thrown out afterwards as they get tore up!
We got this idea as a favorite kids’ museum in our area sets up a station for kids to use paintbrushes with water to paint a rock/cement wall. This is such a huge attraction for the kids and we thought “how easy this would be to incorporate at home”! The best part is that there is NO clean-up as the water just evaporates! Simple set-up and simple clean-up = headache free mom/dad and lots of fun!
